See your brain as a graph

Every compiled vault is a web of notes joined by [[wikilinks]]. There are two ways to see that web as an interactive graph, depending on how you use your vault.
Typed relations (up, down, same, prev, next) are ordinary frontmatter wikilinks, so they draw as edges in both views with no extra setup — the graph you see already includes them.

The dashboard's Graph tab

The live dashboard has a Graph tab: your notes as points colored by space, linked where notes reference each other. In the light theme it reads as a territory map — each space a tinted region with its name at the centre; in the dark theme it is a constellation, each space a glow. It works for everyone, including people who only ever talk to their assistant in chat, since the dashboard is just a URL.
  • Space names float at each cluster's centre, always on. The legend (bottom-left) lists every space with its page count; tap a chip to hide or show that space. The dashed orphans chip rings pages nothing links to.
  • Labels (in Settings) choose how many notes are named: hubs (the 12 most linked-to), more (about 25), or all — and names never overlap, because a name is only drawn when there is room for it at the current zoom. Phones start on hubs, desktops on more; the choice is remembered.
  • Hover a note to see its full path. Click (or tap) a note to focus it: its neighbours stay bright and everything else fades. Click the empty canvas to clear. The node card lists what it links to, what links back, its facts, and opens it in the Query tab. Search focuses the first match, so any page is reachable without hover.
  • Size is inbound links: the more notes cite a page, the bigger it draws.
  • 3D renders the same graph as a constellation you can orbit; Fit reframes the whole graph in either mode. Full graph appears when a large vault was cut to its most-connected notes, and stays on as the graph updates.
  • Settings also mark dead ends (pages that link nowhere) and tune node size, link width, and the layout forces. Everything sticks across visits.
The graph updates live: add a note or a link and it springs into place without losing your zoom or layout. On a phone the legend becomes a scrolling row above the canvas and the node card slides up from the bottom; one finger orbits or pans, a pinch zooms.

Obsidian's graph view

If you work with a cloned copy of your vault (per-employee setup), the vault is a plain Obsidian vault — open it in Obsidian and its built-in graph view works with no configuration, alongside backlinks, canvas, and every other Obsidian feature.

The graph you see is the graph you're allowed to see

Both views draw from your compiled vault, and the compiler stubs out links that point at notes outside your permissions — a note you can't read is never on your machine, so it can't appear as a node or an edge. The graph isn't just a pretty view of your knowledge; it's an exact picture of your slice of the company brain.
